Five Little Angels

An addicted single mother faces an impossible decision when she heartbreakingly realizes that her youngest child, Henry, has a medical condition that is too costly for her to treat. Despite already living in poverty, she chooses to abandon her five beloved children and leaves them alone in their home. With no one to turn to for help and support, the little children are forced to take on the burden of the home, all while trying to grapple with their mother’s heartbreaking departure.

Imagine your mother being addicted and running away from you at this tender age. Nobody is there to feed them. The elder boy has to go beg for food in the streets. The girl and the other boy have to take care of the baby girl, who is constantly crying. She is hungry and has a running stomach. With nobody to feed them, these little souls have been pushed to the brink of desperation. The boy in the blue sweater is extremely sick with swollen genitalia. The house is filled with carbon monoxide from the charcoal stove. Sleeping in unbelievably bad condition in one corner.

I mean, everything in their lives is just unbelievable. Please help me help them satisfactorily. This can only be possible if they are sponsored. I cannot hold back my tears in these circumstances. I have mentioned only a few physical things. Imagine the psychological torture they are undergoing.

In a bold decision, I have humbly decided to bring them to the St Barnabas Orthodox Orphanage and School, a safe place for young children to get the care and support they need. Every child deserves access to the tools they need for success. We need your support to help provide resources for these five little angels: academic support, food, and clothing. Together, we can make sure they have a fighting chance.

Specifically:

  1. I need to feed, clothe, and house them. That will cost me a minimum of $100 a month per child.
  2. Henry needs immediate attention and surgery. After making inquiries, I have been instructed to make a $2000 deposit to admit him into a health facility so he can start life-saving treatment.

Please help however you can.

God bless you.
