Hosanna in the Highest! Blessed is He Who Comes in the Name of the Lord
As we enter the sacred days of Holy Week, our hearts are drawn to the suffering, sacrifice, and boundless love of our Lord Jesus Christ. From His triumphal entry into Jerusalem to His life-giving death on the Cross, and ultimately His Glorious Resurrection, we are called to walk this journey with Him โ in prayer, in repentance, and in compassion for others.
Here at Orthodox Mission Kenya, the spirit of Holy Week inspires us to serve those who carry heavy crosses of poverty, hunger, and hardship. In South Kinangop, many children, families, and elderly neighbors are struggling to find food. As we prepare to celebrate the joy of Pascha, we are reaching out to you with a heartfelt request.
Paschal Food Distribution & Communal Celebration
This year, with your support, we are planning a special Holy Week and Paschal outreach. Our goal is to feed the hungry and share the joy of Christโs Resurrection with the poor and forgotten.
We are also preparing to host a communal Paschal meal, where our entire mission community โ children, parents, staff, and neighbors โ will come together to break bread in love. The Paschal Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at our school grounds, making it possible for all to attend, pray, and rejoice in the Resurrection of Christ.
With your help, we hope to provide:
- Food packages with maize flour, beans, rice, oil, and vegetables
- Bread and eggs for children
- Safe drinking water
- A shared Paschal meal and treats for the community
How You Can Help
Donate via PayPal:

(You do not need a PayPal account โ only an email and card. Donations can be anonymous.)
Even one gift can bring joy, nourishment, and hope to those who might otherwise go without during this sacred season.
Let Us Walk with Christ by Serving Others
As Christ offered Himself for the life of the world, let us offer what we can to lift up those in need. Your generosity during Holy Week will be a true reflection of the Gospel โ a light in the darkness and a sign of the Kingdom to come.
We thank you for standing with us in prayer and in love.
May you have a blessed Holy Week and a joyous Pascha!
In the service of the Crucified and Risen Lord,
