This is the anniversary month of my ordination.

During the Orthodox Africa-Assistant Director’s visit to St Barnabas Orphanage and School in Kenya earlier in June, among other things, he helped distribute food during mealtime. This was a sign of blessing for my  anniversary month of my ordination.

I have been asked what a typical meal consists of. In general, a meal is rice mixed with beans and whatever seasonal vegetables are available. They drink porridge at break time and water at lunch. Occasionally, they are given meat, but that is only when there is sufficient funds from donations to purchase it.

When St Barnabas Orphanage and school is finally able to move into our permanent property, I hope to be able to provide a bit more variety with the food. We continue to collect funds to purchase and install the pipes and electricity for the water well, as well as repair, build and furnish structures to house and educate the orphans and students.

Anniversary month

These, among many others are the focus of my prayers during the month of July. This is the anniversary month of my ordination, during which I attempt to deepen my prayers for Saint Barnabas Orphanage and School, as well as any other prayer requests that are sent to me. If you have a special prayer request you would like me to add during this month of July, please do so by emailing me: info@orthodoxmissionkenya.org.

I also Kindly ask you to consider partnering with me in the Orphanage by making donations here.
